We were contacted by the administration at Randolph to come up with an idea for a video to promote the school from the viewpoint of their students. One thing all the students talked about was the ‘sense of community’ and ‘belonging’ to the school. It’s not often you come across anyone excited about the end of Summer vacation and returning to school!

Over the course of three different shooting days to collect the required footage and interviews, we pieced together a story about their second family: Randolph School.

Every year the Heidi Knight School of Dance does a music video dance camp… and every year we put together a choreographed video for all the students! This year it took place at Monrovia Elementary School in Harvest and the theme was, what else? Justin Bieber! They even had a Bieber look-a-like as well! Does he look like Justin? You decide.

Dance Your Dreams!

‘Dance Your Dreams!‘ is a dance program that provides dance education to children who cannot participate in mainstream dance education due to physical, mental or emotional disabilities. The class is designed by Merrimack Hall‘s dance faculty, in consult with physical therapists, for children with gross motor developmental delays.

Classes are offered weekly following the city school’s calendar and include numerous performance opportunities for participants. Each student is paired with a trained volunteer who helps the children execute the movements which their challenges prevent them from being able to execute without assistance. Students in this program have multiple diagnosis including Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, cancer, hearing impairment, language delays and learning disabilities.

Everything is provided to these students at no cost to them, including dance attire and costuming for performances.

Marceia and Neal Ingram talk about why they chose Randolph School for their children’s education. Their son, Clark, was a National Merit Finalist, a member of the National Honor Society and the Cum Laude Society and the 2011 valedictorian. He will attend Washington University in St. Louis. Their daughter, Katherine, is in Middle School.

This video was used by Randolph to reach out to parents who were considering moving their child to Randolph.

Heather Bookout of Bookout Studios used this video on her website as a way to introduce herself to prospective clients and to show the different types of photography they specialize in, including newborn, baby, family and seniors. They get really excited about newborns… because they are so cute and precious (the newborns, that is).
